Espanyol's Wu Lei becomes first-ever Chinese player to score in La Liga
The striker scored in Espanyol's 3-1 win over Real Valladolid on Saturday
Espanyol striker Wu Lei became the first Chinese player to ever score in La Liga as he scored in his side's 3-1 win over Real Valladolid on Saturday.
The Chinese striker scored in the 65th minute as Espanyol put some distance between themselves and the bottom three with a deserved three points.

Even without the goal, Wu Lei impressed with his skills and pace. He also linked well with Sergi Darder, with the goal cappint his performance.
"I'm really excited to have scored my first goal for Espanyol," he said after the game. "Half of the goal is Sergi Darder's, he gave me a magnificent assist."
Wu Lei was taken off in the 84th minute, replaced by Xavi Puado, and he was given a huge ovation from the home supporters.
"I'm really happy for the fans, I hope to be able to score more goals and to thank them for all the support they are showing me," he added.
