Espanyol have passed the 20,000 member mark for 2017/18, three weeks after the Barcelona club started their renewal campaign, according to the Catalan club.
This would represent a thousand members more than at this time last year. Espanyol’s aim, which they have expressed numerous times, is to reach 30,000 members.
The renewal campaign ends on 15 July. The Barcelona club will then start to process new applications. Chen Yansheng, the president of the club, want to broaden and consolidate the club’s membership.
