Agreement in principle between Espanyol & Villarreal for Gerard Moreno
The striker is set to return to the Yellow Submarine for a second spell
Gerard Moreno is close to re-joining Villarreal. RAC1 reported on Wednesday that Espanyol and Villarreal have reached an agreement in principle for a summer transfer.
Moreno's been Espanyol's best player by a distance this season and Villarreal have been trying to sign him for a long time -- remembere that he previously played for the Yellow Submarine.
On this occasion, Villarreal have managed to get the green light from the player, who in the past had been reluctant to leave Espanyol, the club he came through the ranks at.
According to Diario AS, the forward could leave for half of his 40 million euro release clause, with Espanyol receiving 20 million euros.
