The Spain youth international has agreed to join the Premier League champions

After months of negotiations, an agreement has been reached. Espanyol and Manchester City have struck a deal and all that's left is for Óscar Tarensi, an international for Spain at youth level, to sign his contract with the Premier League side. Espanyol lose one of the stars of their future.

City have been after Tarensi since last year. The player, who turned 16 in January, has been playing for Espanyol's Juvenil B team. He is a left footer who can play either at full-back or in midfield.

Onda Cero first revealed the deal was done. And SPORT have been able to confirm that, effectively, everything is now in place for the transfer to go through. The final contracts will be signed in the coming days.

Espanyol will get around 200,000 euros in development rights and an additional 100,000 from City, taking the total to 300,000 euros. Tarensi agreed his contract with the English side, who are managed by Pep Guardiola, a long time ago now.
