Following his side's historic 3-2 victory over Liverpool at Anfield, the Spanish striker walked through the mixed zone coughing instead of answering any questions. Many feel this 'joke' was in bad taste following the world's fears when it comes to coronavirus.
In a video shown on 'El Chiringuito', the striker moved quickly through the mixed zone, putting on a fake cough and claiming "they won't let me talk, look" as he was ushered into the team bus.
Costa reacted angrily to being substituted in the second half of the match by refusing to acknowledge Diego Simeone and then kicked over a water bottle.
