The Brazilian coach is confident Arthur's knee injury isn't too serious and the player believes it is only a knock

The knee injury suffered by Arthur appears to have only been a scare. The FC Barcelona midfielder is expected to take part in the Copa America which begins on Friday.

Brazil's head coach Tite confirmed the good news. "We spoke in the changing room and hugged. I could tell by his face that it was only a knock and nothing serious. Of course we'll wait for the medical report but Arthur told me he felt good."

Arthur was forced to leave the pitch on a stretcher after a horrible 'challenge' from Honduras' Quioto. The player was subsequently sent off in the 'friendly' match and Rodrigo Lasmar, the Brazilian team's doctor, advised Tite to take off Arthur as to avoid any further damage.

Sources close to the player have told SPORT that they were optimistic about Arthur's chances of being involved in the Copa America and that it wasn't a serious injury.

The Brazilian youngster adapted quickly to life at the Camp Nou and he's equally as important for his country too. "He's a footballer who is in charge of starting our attacks. He always comes away with the ball."
