Paulinho's emotional words after his first Clasico

Paulinho will not forget his first Clasico for Barcelona against Real Madrid. “I don’t have words to describe it,” said the Brazilian midfielder. He was one of the most important players in the match.

“I’m very happy because it was my first Clasico and a huge victory for the team. I don’t have words to describe it what it means to beat Real Madrid in my first Clasico,” he said after the 3-0 win.

“I have to thank my team-mates for their help because they have helped me get to this level of confidence. I am working hard to be able to help the team as best I can,” added the Brazilian midfielder to ESPN Brazil.

“The coach told me he gave me total freedom and told me to do what I always do. That helped me a lot too I think. In games I have Suarez, Messi and Rakitic as reference points but I also focus on Busquets, who plays deeper. I have him as a reference and that helps me and now I can get consistency.”

On Messi he said: “Playing beside Messi makes things easier for you. He’s the best in the world, a good guy, he doesn’t have to say anything, he’s a different class. I’ll keep my memories with him safe. My first Clasico against Real Madrid I’ll remember forever.”
