The central midfielder is approaching full fitness but still hasn't been given the green light to play again
Arthur is entering the final phase of his recovery from injury. The Brazilian midfielder was involved in Monday's training session alongside his teammates and found himself joined by Jasper Cillessen. Both did part of the routine with the main squad and then individual work. This means neither player, and in particular Arthur, has completed a full training session. As such, it's practically impossible that he'll feature at the Santiago Bernabeu this Wednesday in the Copa Clasico.
However that might change for the LaLiga Clasico which takes place on Saturday, also at the Bernabeu. The midfielder's progress is going well but he'll remain a doubt for the weekend's clash until he's given the green light by the medical team.
