The Real Madrid coach put on a brave face after the draw at the Bernabeu

Zinedine Zidane is trying to keep positive after the 2-2 draw with Club Brugge.

"The truth is that we produced a poor first-half display, we made a really bad start in the first five minutes and they made life difficult for us straightaway,” said the Real Madrid coach.

“We weren't in control of any aspect of the game and the second half was a different story and we changed the complexion of the game. What I take away with me is the reaction from the players because they're the ones who changed the game. That's what I take away with me, that and the point.”

Of Thibaut Courtois, whom he substituted at half-time: "Courtois is in a bad way and could not continue for the second half. He is the Real Madrid goalkeeper, along with Areola.

“Everyone has their own opinion and I’m not going to get into it. We have to be prepared as we were in the last three games. I'm not worried.

“Courtois wants to do his best and that's what it's all about. The second half was better and that's what I take away with me. In the first half, we could point the finger at Courtois, but we’re all in it together, and I am the first to take criticism. That’s how it is and I am responsible.”
