Ronaldo fined by UEFA for crude gesture but gets away with ban

UEFA have fined Cristiano Ronaldo 20,000 euros for his obscene gesture in Juventus' comeback win against Atletico Madrid last week.
Ronaldo grabbed his balls as he celebrated scoring a hat-trick as the Italians overturned a first leg loss to reach the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
It's the same punishment which was handed to Atleti coach Diego Simeone, who made a similar gesture when his side won the first leg.
UEFA say Ronaldo's conduct was inappopriate per their regulations but stopped short of handing him a ban which would have seen him miss a game.
Juve face Ajax, who knocked out Real Madrid, over two legs in the last eight.
