The Uruguayan striker is set to be out for the next 3-6 weeks after coming off injured at the weekend

It's gone from bad to worse for PSG as they lose another key man ahead of the Champions League ties against Manchester United. With Neymar already ruled out of both matches, Edison Cavani joins him on the sidelines. According to 'L'Equipe' the Uruguayan has been ruled out for at least three weeks. PSG will be nervously awaiting the medical reports with the hope he'll have a chance of making the return leg against United.

"This is the expected time for an injury of this kind (one month). It can be anywhere from three to six weeks," is what is being reported in 'L'Equipe'. Cavani suffered the injury in the last round of Ligue 1 fixtures.

The club haven't ruled the possibility of Cavani being available for the return leg against United at the beginning of March. However the odds appear to be against them as they head into the one competition they are desperate to win.
