Paco Alcacer is a doubt for Dortmund against Atletico Madrid
The on loan Barcelona striker is struggling to be fit for Wednesday's game
Spanish striker Paco Alcacer is a doubt for Borussia Dortmund's Champions League game against Atletico Madrid due to a muscle problem, coach Lucien Favre admitted in a press conference.
"We still don't know [if he will be fit]," Favre said when asked if Alcacer would be ready for Wednesday's game. "We still have two training sessions. After that, we will see. That's all I can say."
Alcacer was taken off at half time of the weekend's win over Stuttgard with a muscle problem.
The Spain international, despite still not completing a full game, is the top scorer in the Bundesliga with seven goals after eight games. He has been key in Dortmund's rise to the top of the table.
As well as doubts over Alcacer, Dortmund are also missing centre-back Manuel Akanji and left-back Marcel Schmelzer, according to Favre.
