The English side came from three goals down in the tie to set up all English final

Lucas Moura scored a hat-trick, including one in the final minute of stoppage time, as Tottenham came from three goals down to beat Ajax and set up a Champions League final with Liverpool in Madrid.

Ajax won the first leg last week 1-0 in London and looked comfortable in the tie when Matthijs de Ligt and Hakim Ziyech moved them into a 2-0 lead on Wednesday night at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

But Spurs, perhaps inspired by Liverpool's comeback against Barcelona on Tuesday, roared back after the break to set up an all English final on June 1 at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Moura gave them home in the 55th minute and then drew them level on the night four minutes later.

Spurs still needed one more to progress via the away goals rule and the game opened up as they pushed. Ziyech came close to sealing it, hitting the post.

Ajax looked set to hold on when Jan Vertonghen and Son missed good chances in the final stages of the game, but they were punished in the 95th minute when Moura completed his treble with a good finish inside the area.

It was the latest turnaround in what has been a crazy knockout stage in the competition. From Ajax against Real Madrid, Juventus against Atletico Madrid through to Manchester United against Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool against Barca.

Everything will come to an end in the Spanish capital next month and it will be an English side whose name is on the trophy: Liverpool or Tottenham.

It's impossible to call given everything that's happened in Europe this week. It may even be a better tactic to concede the first goal and play for the comeback...
