Lionel Messi: I am happy and I want to stay that way

Lionel Messi spoke to the PSG magazine to say how he feels at present at the club, with Neymar, Mbappe and Di Maria by his side.

“(PSG) have grown a lot in the last 10, 11 years, with a lot of ambition and with a lot of room, they can develop more, and today they have nothing to envy the historic clubs for,” said Messi. “Winning the Champions League is difficult, the best are there and any detail, any error, can knock you out. We have a team to be able to win it, we’re excited and hopeful, but we have to go calmly. It’s hard, the best team doesn’t always win and we have to take care of all the details and make a great unit, the strong teams are the ones that get their objectives and we’re on route to that.”

Leo spoke of his colleagues. “Di Maria and Ney I already knew, from the national team and Barcelona. Kylian I did not know but bit by bit we are getting to know each other and on the pitch we try and link up and see how we are comfortable with each other. It’s nice being with the best players on the pitch, I had the luck to be for many years at Barca and now here, I am happy and want to keep being that way!”
