The Catalan coach defended the Premier League club's spending

Pep Guardiola has come out in defence of Manchester City's spending following revelations made in the latest round of Football Leaks reports.

It's claimed the Premier League side, like Paris Saint-Germain in France, have inflated their earnings through investment from their owners in a way to get around Financial Fair Play rules.

"In the last 10 years, people say that City have only won because of the money they have invested," Guardiola said on Tuesday.

"And it's not just that. But what can we do? We accept it and we move on. We don't believe that's the only reason -- we believe it's because we've worked hard."

Af for the FFP complaints, he stuck to the club's version: "I am part of the club and I support them completely. We want to follow all of FIFA's and UEFA's rules, there's no doubt about that. I'm on top of the dressing room, on the day to day -- but I don't get involved in the business and finances.

"What I think about FFP is the same as what the club said on Friday. It's not just cash, we've done things well as well. But we have to live with this. The reality is that to be among the best in the world you need time and money."
