Porto kicked the flying US forward to pieces on Tuesday night

North American international Christian Pulisic equalled a Lionel Messi record on Tuesday night, when he became the most fouled player in the Champions League since the Argentine.

Kicked 11 times by Porto as Chelsea progressed, it was the only way the Portuguese side could stop the flying US forward.

Messi recieved the same amount of fouls in 2011, the semi-final second leg against Real Madrid, where Los Blancos were out for blood.

Chelsea lost 1-0 to Taremi’s overhead kick but they progressed to the semi-finals 2-1 on aggregate, where they will face Real Madrid or Liverpool.

Pulisic had touched the ball 100 times in the game, completing more dribbles than anyone else, making seven recoveries and winning 16 duels. He has three goals in his last two Premier League games and is finally finding some form.
