Kathryn Mayorga's lawyers have dropped the claim, say 'Bloomberg'

A lawsuit filed against Cristiano Ronaldo for alleged rape in Las Vegas in 2009 has been dropped, according to a report in Bloomberg.

The American media outlet says the alleged victim, Kathryn Mayorga, "quietly" dropped the claim against the Juventus forward last month.

It's not known whether she did so after reaching a second settlement with the former Real Madrid man.

Mayorga first made the claims against Ronaldo at the time but everything was dropped after she reached an agreement with his lawyers.

However, the case was reopened last year when she said that at the time of the original settlement she "was experiencing severe emotional trauma at the time and wasn’t competent to participate in the mediation."

Ronaldo has always denied the allegations.

"Everything they have published is false, they just want promotion through my name," he said last year. "I am calmly awaiting the result of the investigation, as there's nothing weighing on my conscience."
