After the club confirmed one player had tested positive for coronavirus, the striker released a statement on social media

Real Betis released a statement on Tuesday afternoon to confirm that there was one positive coronavirus test in their latest round of testing. Manuel Pellegrini is ready to get to work with his new team but he'll have to start that process without Loren Moron.

The striker made the decision to confirm he was the person to test positive for the virus. In his own statement, Loren said: "Unfortunately I won't be able to join up with my teammates in Marbella to start preseason."

"I tested positive in the PCR test and although I feel fine, I have to wait a few more days before I can join up with the team."

As with all positive results, the player's information was passed on to LaLiga as well as the relevant health authorities.
