Xavi ‘detected’ Marc Guiu seven years ago

Was it predestined? Curiously, Xavi Hernández and Marc Guiu already met in 2016. It was at the Xavi Campus that the Terrassa coach has been organising for more than a decade. In a group photo and a personal photo, the man of the moment was snapped with one of his idols, a Xavi who at the time had only recently left the club.

The coach from Terrassa, who was still a footballer (he had just started his adventure in Qatar), would religiously come to his camp to share moments with the boys and girls who came together every summer full of enthusiasm. He was helped by his brother Òscar and several coaches he trusted.

Guiu joined Barça in 2007 as a pre-benjamin. Since then, he has gone through all the stages of youth football before making his debut with the first team at the age of just 17.

Another in the group photo is Pau Prim, one of the great promises of La Masia who has a lot of hope placed on him too. A beautiful story that experienced a very special chapter on Sunday at Montjuïc.
