Xavi carries on winning trophies and wins his third in Qatar

Xavi Hernández has continued his ‘triumphant’ career in Qatar. If last season ended perfectly with Al Sadd winning the Emir of Qatar Cup and the Qatar Crown Prince Cup, this season has started perfectly too, with victory in the Qatar Super Cup over Del Duhail.

The victory was even sweeter for Al Sadd as the one-off Super Cup game was played at Del Duhail’s home ground. Technically, Del Duhail did not win the Qatar league last year, it was Lekhwiya, but this summer Lekhwiya merged with Jaish to form a new club.
Despite Al Sadd’s young team, they were able to overcome the odds and seal a famous win. It seems Xavi has not tired of winning.
