The player and his mother have to meet Barca to seal the economics of his contract
Negotiations to seal Adrien Rabiot’s move to Barcelon an have advanced to a new phase. The club, as well as his agent and mother Veronique, want to seal the economic parameters of his contract which for now, are still open.
The discussions with the PSG midfielder are in this phase at the moment and Barcelona want to seal them as soon as possible.
Despite the situation Barcelona are not afraid of losing Rabiot. He is the main objective of the board for next season and Barca believe they are ahead of any other contenders for his signature. They are the player’s priority and Veronique wants him to sign for Barcelona too.
The date she will meet Barcelona is not yet known although some are suggesting it will be in the middle of February, coinciding with the return of the Champions League.
Although Thomas Tuchel has not totally given up on keeping Rabiot, the only thing that seems clear is that he will not be playing in Paris next season.
