VAR hurts Barcelona again in painful Leganes defeat
El Chiringuito showed Jonathan Silva was offside for the equalising goal
Barcelona had a bad game against Leganes and recorded an unexpected defeat. However the bad performance doesn’t hide that Barcelona were hurt by VAR again. At Camp Nou Gil Manzano sent off Clement Lenglet in the Girona game, after watching the video replay. Then against Leganes Mateu Lahoz hurt Barcelona by allowing an offside goal.
Hours after the game on El Chiringuito, they showed that Jonathan Silva was offside when getting the ball before setting up Nabil El Zhar for the equaliser. He was 16 centimetres ahead of the play. VAR should have decreed it offside but on this occasion did not intervene.
As you can see in Chiringuito’s picture, Silva was offside.
