Van de Beek: It's nice that my name is linked with Barcelona
The Ajax midfielder is involved in the UEFA Nations League with Netherlands
Donny van de Beek, like De Jong and De Ligt, has been linked with Barça. The Ajax midfielder is taking part in the UEFA Nations League with the Netherlands at the moment and after beating England in the semifinal he spoke about feeling flattered by the rumours.
"It's not true that thy have asked about me, a lot of things have come out in the newspapers, but I don't know anything. I have a contract and we will see what happens, but I am happy at Ajax," he responded.
He added: "Of course it's nice that my name is linked with Barcelona, but I have to play more and be better and better. Later, we will see what happens in the future. You never what could happen in the summer."
On De Jong, who's already agreed on a move to Barça, van de Beek said: "He is a fantastic player. He has so much quality and will be a fantastic player for them: he can dribble, but he can do many more things, too."
As for De Ligt, who has not yet decided on his next move, van de Beek finished: "Barcelona would be a good club for him, but he could also play in the Premier League or for other teams. It's his choice and he has to feel good about it. I am sure he will make the right decision."
