Valverde: We want to have the best squad possible
The coach said he and his players were hurt by the defeat to Madrid
However he says it will not have negative effects
Ernesto Valverde was in a serious mood after defeat by Real Madrid, although he avoided drama and tried to look at the positives.
"We weren't out of the game," he said. "With the game drawn they hit us on the break, and then another golazo. There were moments we were close to going 2-1 up but football's circumstances are like this. You have to be accurate and not just arrive in the danger zones."
He added that "They are a team that run into space well and that's how their second goal came, they did us damage."
However looking forward Valvede was not worried. "I'm not afraid this will have a negative effect. It's a defeat and you have to look forward. We have the second half to play and things are never over after a defeat, or a victory."
