The coach said he didn't bring Coutinho on to avoid any more risks

Ernesto Valverde was disgruntled by the injury picked up by Ousmane Dembele in the opening minutes of Barcelona's 2-0 loss at Celta Vigo on Saturday.

The French forward was set to play an important role in what remains of the season, including the Copa del Rey final and Tuesday's Champions League semifinal second leg against Liverpool.

As he's only just returned from injury, he started in Vigo while others rested as Valverde wanted to give him minutes.

However, he ended up injured and Valverde admitted he fears the worst despite not wanting to rush the diagnosos -- he will undergo more tests on Sunday.

"We have to wait and see what the medical team says but the sensation is it could be a torn muscle," the coach said.

Valverde admitted it's a setback going into the Liverpool game: "Referring to that game, the injury alters our plans a little bit. He is an important player for us and it's a setback to lose him for the games we have left."
