The forward is now a major doubt for the game against Barça on Tuesday

Bad news for Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp. The German coach saw star player Mohamed Salah forced off the pitch before full time against Newcastle after a heavy collision with the opposition goalkeeper. The Egyptian was taken off on a stretcher and was clearly in a lot of pain. The tears running down his face denoted the concern that he will no have about being available for Tuesday's Champions League semifinal second leg against Barcelona.

The possible loss of Salah is not the only problem Liverpool are facing. Striker Roberto Firmino is also injured and unlikely to play, leaving Mane as the orphan of the attacking trident. Divock Origin was chosen to replace Salah against Newcastle. He came on to score the winning goal in a five-goal thriller. He could also get the nod against Barça. Daniel Sturridge and Xherdan Shaqiri are also options.

Virgil van Dijk gave Liverpool the lead but Newcastle hit back through Christian Atsu. Salah restored the visitor's advantage but the home side bounced back again when Salomon Rondon levelled. Origi struck the winner three minutes from time.
