PSG headed to Macao without the Brazilian who has been left behind
PSG headed to Macao via ferry for the first game of their Asian tour, against Inter Milan on Saturday, without the Brazilian striker Neymar. He has been left in the hotel in Shenzhen to train alone. Neymar had been recovering from the ankle injury he suffered before the Copa America.
However PSG medics published a statement a few days ago passing him fit to play. Neymar could have travelled with the squad but seemingly as a punishment has been left behind after asking the club directors to let him join Barcelona.
The fact that Neymar is not poised to participate in group sessions makes it seem less likely he will feature at all in the tour matches, with the next one against Sydney FC on July 30 and then French Super Cup against Stade Rennais in Shenzhen - he can't play in that one because of suspension.
