The current coach of the French champions says "it isn't realistic to sign" the Atletico Madrid forward

PSG coach Thomas Tuchel has responded to rumours linking his club with a move for national hero Antoine Griezmann. However instead of confirming that interest, he instead admitted that they won't be able to bid for the forward's signature.

"Griezmann could play for any side in he world. Any coach or team would be delighted to have him. But it isn't realistic for us to sign him."

PSG's transfer strategy

The French champions have made headlines for their ridiculously expensive transfer deals in recent years - including Neymar, Mbappe and Di Maria - but under Tuchel they expect to have a different approach. "We're looking for players but, more specifically, we're looking for certain profiles of players."

Tuchel went onto add: "Our signings must be realistic. We need to create a team and there are certain profiles we need. We have to start with defensive players."
