"Todibo picked Barça for their history, he couldn't have chosen better"
The player's agent, Bruno Satin, confirmed that both Juventus and Leipzig were interested in the defender
After FC Barcelona confirmed the signing of Jean-Clair Todibo from Toulouse, the player's agent spoke to SportNews.eu about the move and his client's future.
"Jean-Clair is very happy with the decision he's made, he couldn't have made a better choice. He picked Barça because of their history. It's a huge club. Since he was a child he dreamt of playing for Barça. It wasn't a decision based on money but the feeling he had for the club," his agent Bruno Satin confirmed.
It was also revealed in the interview that Juventus and Leipzig were after the player too. "Compared to the other teams who wanted him, at Barça he has more chance of being in the first team." He admitted to meeting with Juventus but that the player decided to choose Barça because he felt he had a greater chance of playing time there. "At Juventus there are great defenders and he would need to wait longer (for a chance to play)."
"He reminds me a lot of Desailly because in the future he could play in midfield," added Satin. "Desailly was a monster, physically speaking. Todibo is more athletic, more dynamic. I'm sure he'll begin as a centre back but in the future will reach a higher level as a midfielder."
