Toulouse are upset at how Barça have handled the situation and are making Todibo train with the U19 squad until a final decision has been made

Jean-Clair Todibo, the young footballer who was born in French Guiana, has probably experienced the most incredible week of his life. After agreeing a deal to join FC Barcelona next summer the central defender is still being forced to train with Toulouse's U19 squad.

Todibo hasn't worked alongside the senior team since the beginning of November after the player decided he wouldn't sign a new contract at the French club. He continues to train alongside the youth team until a solution is made over his future and he doesn't fancy spending over six months without playing a competitive match.

The two clubs are continuing to negotiate an agreement which would see either the player join Barcelona now or be sent out on loan to another side. Toulouse are upset at how Barça have conducted the operation so far and this means reaching an amicable agreement is difficult.

In fact, sources close to the player believe the negotiations could drag on until the end of this month. It's clear that the biggest worry for the club and the player, who is only 19 years old remember, is that he doesn't spend the next six months unable to play competitive football.
