Manchester City want to sign Leo Messi in the winter window according to The Sun and will make a 55-60 million euro bid for the forward.
They may also choose to include Barca target Eric Garcia in the deal, who contract expires in June next year, like Messi's.
At Man City they believe Barca will accept one of these deals, because Messi can walk away for nothing next summer and the club is in economic crisis.
Messi is not enjoying himself at the moment, having been met by tax inspectors after arriving back in Barcelona airport and telling reports he's "tired of always being the problem".
Coach Ronald Koeman is also keen on Garcia, who the club tried to sign in the summer.
