Despite taking a 3-0 lead in the Champions League semi-final against Liverpool, no one is thinking about the final yet

FC Barcelona's squad are satisfied with their 3-0 victory over Liverpool in the Champions League but there were no major celebrations. If you noticed on social media there was a calm response from the players. Nothing has been won just yet and, in football, anything can happen. It's important to remain professional and see out the good work which began on Wednesday.

The squad is cautious about the return leg and taking it too easy. Recent experiences against Roma, plus shock defeats for PSG and Juventus prove nothing can be taken for granted. The majority of the first team will be rested for the weekend's fixture against Celta Vigo with focus switching to the return leg next week.

FIX THE MISTAKES

There is in fact some concern about how Barça didn't kill off the contest in the final few minutes against Liverpool. "We hope that we won't regret Dembele's miss." Pique had charged the length of the pitch to place the cherry on the top of another outstanding performance but Messi played in the French winger and he got his shot all wrong. Messi was flat out on the pitch and Pique had to charge back into defence but the lack of conviction by Dembele upset some members of the squad. "You can suffer from a mental block like Coutinho has at times but you can't have that type of attitude, Dembele."

He's capable of the best and worst but Dembele has upset the dressing room with his lack of involvement. His attitude is in stark contrast to that of Arturo Vidal, who made such a huge effort to get into the side and perform, something respected by his teammates and the coach.

Valverde knows Vidal is enjoying his best form to date whilst Arthur is running on empty and had no problem in trusting the Chilean. Aleña even moved ahead of the popular Brazilian in the pecking order and the team appreciate Valverde giving everyone a fair opportunity.

Barcelona know Liverpool are capable of dominating the match next week and causing the team plenty of problems. The first part of the job is done but there's another tough 90 minutes ahead and the players know this.
