A number of players are set to leave the club after failing to convince Valverde

Barcelona returned to training on Thursday morning to prepare for the Copa del Rey final against Sevilla, where Barca could take a step towards winning the eighth domestic double in their history but could also be the last final for several Barca players.

The name on everyone's lips is that of Andres Iniesta, although his case is a special one. The captain will announce his departure when and how he wants and whatever happens he will be well received by the fans.

It's a different story for other players. Some players have not been at Barca for long and their future is uncertain. There are other players who have been around for a number of seasons but who have not met expectations.

These are their situations

ANDRES INIESTA

The captain has spent his entire life at Barcelona and is the most successful player in their history alongside Messi. He is leaving at the end of the season to finish his career in China.

ANDRE GOMES

The Portuguese arrived at Barcelona with a bright future ahead of him but has been unable to cope with the demands of the Camp Nou for various reasons. He will be leaving at the end of the season and the World Cup gives him a chance to demonstrate to prospective clubs that he is still a quality player.

ALEIX VIDAL

The Catalan has drifted in an out of the team, switching between right back and right forward. He was on the verge of leaving in January.

PACO ALCACER

The former Valencia striker is never going to be a first choice forward while Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi are around and will have to leave the club if he wants to get first team football.

LUCAS DIGNE

Being second fiddle to Jordi Alba is a job no-one would want given the Spaniard's sensational form and the French player has repeatedly beeen questioned, with many asking if an academy player could take his role as back-up left back.

NELSON SEMEDO

The Portuguese is not first in line to leave the club as he has only recently arrived and has had little luck with injuries.

YERRY MINA

The Colombian has been left out of the matchday squad on many occasions and may have to leave the club on loan in order to get minutes.
