Marc-André Ter Stegen was one of the first World Cup stars to return to preseason with Barcelona. The goalkeeper arrived in Dallas on Monday morning to rejoin his teammates and form part of the second - and last - week of Barça's US Tour.

After arriving, Ter Stegen made his first comments in regards to starting a new season with the club. "I'm very happy to see my teammates again and to get to know the new ones too. I'm anxious to start another season." The goalkeeper also spoke positively about the preseason tour of the United States, despite most of the stars being unavailable. "When everyone is here it'll be different but this tour is very interesting and it's creating a lot of good feelings amongst the group ahead of the new season."

The German keeper was in Russia with his national team but didn't play a single minute. This, alongside the fact Germany were eliminated at the group stages, means Ter Stegen is desperate to get out on the pitch and play again. "I'm anxious to get out on the pitch. We'll have a very good season, I'm sure of it, and this is the preparation so that we start in perfect condition."

Ter Stegen also pointed out the advantage of this tour for the new players at the club, as well as the academy players who made the trip. "To be involved and know what the coach wants is fantastic for them."

It's unlikely that Ter Stegen will play against Roma but he could be involved in the last match against Milan.
