The coach praised youngsters Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig after Leganes win

Barcelona coach Quique Setien admitted in his post-game press conference that Barcelona lacked clarity against Leganes despite securing a 2-0 win.

"I think in these situations, (Leganes) maybe deserve more credit," he said. "They did very well, were very firm. It is not easy to find spaces when we still lack that point of clarity with the ball. We were not able to find the passes among so many bodies."

The win took Barça five points clear of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga. Madrid are next in action on Thursday against Valencia.

Goal and off for Ansu

On Ansu Fati's performance and the decision to take him off, Setien explained: "We opted for Ansu today because he's overcome some injury problems and has looked really good in several training sessions now. He did a good job, both in attack and defence. It's true still lacks some things, but he needs the consistency that he still doesn't have due to the problems that prevented him training on several days.

"But he did really well when he was on. I didn't want to put him at risk anymore after the recent problems. He already had some pain at half time and we wanted to take care of him."

Griezmann

"All the players through the middle have to move in small spaces and it's difficult to find teammates against a team that accumulates to many bodies," Setien said of Griezmann's performance in relation to the midfield's struggle to feed him passes. "But I am very happy with his hard work because he moves, looks for space, try to pull rivals out of position to create space for teammates  -- and also fulfils his defensive duties when we lose ball, which is so important."

"Riqui extraordinary"

Academy midfielder Riqui Puig came on for 20 minutes and Setien was impressed. "He did very well," the coach said. "He came on with a lot of energy and did an extraordinary job because in the 20 minutes he was on, he tried to give everything and show the quality he has. It is not easy to come into this team but he has to take advantage of minutes, like today. It's a shame he didn't score, because he had a chance to do so. But I value the job he did and the presence that he had on the game."

Pique injury

Defender Gerard Pique had to come off after taking a knock to the shin. Setien said he will need stitches but that he doesn't imagine he will miss any games.

Empty Camp Nou

On playing without fans, Setien finished: "I went out for a walk around before the game. It's totally different. It's a little like losing an important part of what football is. You lose the essence, the sound: the applause, the cheering, the rustle of the fans. You notice it. Maybe when you play at home it can work against you but it can benefit you away because teams don't have their fans ... so with our next game in Seville, for us maybe it's better to play behind closed doors."
