Setien doesn't want Ansu, Riqui and Araujo to play in Barca B play-off
The coach is leaving it up to the club to stop him calling them up for the first team clash
Quique Setien said, after the game against Osasuna, that if it was up to him, Ansu Fati, Riqui Puig and Ronald Araujo would be with the first team on Sunday against Alaves, not Barca B for their play-off. Now the club will decide.
Setien wants them for what is virtually a meaningless match, while B are trying to get back to the second division.
He blamed the players who are out. “We have various players banned for the Champions (Busquets, Vidal) and for Sunday (Junior, Rakitic, Pique, Griezmann, Umtiti, Dembele). Without them we would only have enough to put out an 11, without any subs barely.”
Barca face Alaves at 9pm on Sunday, while B face Valladolid Promesas at 8pm.
The club will have to decide.
