Sergi Samper headed to Granada on loan this season, Barcelona’s opponents on Sunday night at Los Carmenes. The experience has been uneven for him and he doesn’t hide the fact that his big objective is the same.
“I’m learning what it’s like to play outside of Barcelona. Paco Jemez convinced me and he only lasted four games. Then came Luque, a drastic change. It was hard for me to break in, but I have played in 21 games,” he told Esports Cope.
Samper was very sincere when it came to expressing his desires. “What I want is to stay at Barcelona, it’s my dream since I was little, I rejected offers because I wanted to be at Barcelona and my dream is to arrive to the first team squad. It’s impossible not to think of Barcelona when I saw Sergio Busquets couldn’t play a few games. I am a big cule, and what i want is to play there. If I could have, I would have stayed, but in the end that happened and I couldn’t do anything.”
He is confident he can she in the summer that he deserves a place in the side, above all if Unzue takes over.
“If Unzue stays, I know him already. The important thing will be to have a good pre-season.”
