Sergi Roberto's dig at Samuel Umtiti on Instagram
The Catalan made fun of Umtiti's post after the Roma game
Sergi Roberto, Barca midfielder, took a dig at his team-mate Samuel Umtiti in jest on Instagram.
Umtiti’s presence forced Kostas Manolo to put through his own net in Barca’s 4-1 win over Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday, then the Frenchman celebrated wildly, as if it were his goal.
Umtiti posted a photo of himself on Instagram from the celebration and Roberto commented underneath “the goal is not yours”.
Umtiti responded: “you’re right” with a facepalm and laughing emoji.
Lately Umtiti has been in the news because of the breakdown in talks over his new Barca contract, and a lot of the comments on the photo were telling him to stay. Others didn’t realise Roberto was joking and complained about that.
