Ronald Koeman's options to place Araujo against Sevilla

The Uruguayan hurt his ankle leaving a hole in Barcelona's defence

Ronald Koeman's Barcelona are having trouble at the back. Against Real Betis Ronald Araujo went off with an ankle injury. That means he'll be missing for the Copa del Rey semi-final against Sevilla.

Koeman has options: Samuel Umtiti, Frenkie de Jong and Oscar Mingueza. However to play the latter, Sergino Dest must be ready to play, after his recent injury problems.

The first and most logical option will be playing Umtiti along with Clement Lenglet. Recently Umtiti has been in good form but he made mistakes against Granada.

Junior Firpo could play at right back, which would mean that mean Mingueza may be able to play as a centre-back.

The third option would be to play Frenkie de Jong in defense - he has played there before, including against Real Betis. However he brings a lot to the midfield and attack when used further up the pitch.

On top of that neither Riqui Puig or Miralem Pjanic has done well in midfield recently.

Ronald Koeman wanted Eric Garcia as backup but he didn't get the Manchester City man. Now Murphy's Law has struck.
