The defender gestured to the home bench and to the home supporters

After a heated derby, which saw Nico Melamed and Gerard Pique sent off, Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo was singled out for criticism after Espanyol held Xavi Hernandez's side to a 2-2 draw.

At the end of the game, with Luuk de Jong scoring a late equaliser for Barça, television footage showed Araujo pointing at the Espanyol bench "a Segunda (division)." The words seemed to be directed at Melamed.

Araujo repeated the gesture several times before turning and doing the same to the home supporters. It didn't go down well with Jordi Cruyff, who tried to play the moment down as the tension of the game.

Remember that Araujo was unable to end the game and was taken off at half-time with a calf injury. Further tests will reveal if it's serious.
