Rivaldo: It's the moment for Barcelona to sell Ousmane Dembele
The Brazilian thinks the Frenchman's had enough time to prove himself
Brazil legend Rivaldo says it's time for Barcelona to sell Ousmane Dembele following the Frenchman's three injury-hit seasons at Camp Nou.
Rivaldo knows what it takes to triumph at Camp Nou and he has explained to Betfair that he thinks Dembele's time is up at the Spanish champions.
"It's the moment to sell him," he said. Rivaldo highlighted that he has "great potential" but that this summer is the "perfect" opportunity to move him on -- even if that means using him as a pawn in another deal.
Dembele has had bad luck with injuries, as Rivaldo recognises, but he also "could have given more at certain moments to meet expectations," according to the 2002 World Cup winner.
Leaving now is the right time given Barça want Neymar and Lautaro Martinez. "Barcelona need to reduce the size of the squad," Rivaldo added. "In addition, he would probably have difficulties finding a space in the team."
