La Liga's three big clubs want the Inter Milan centre-back

Barça, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid may do battle in the transfer market as they all set their sights on Milan Skriniar, the Inter Milan defender.

The Slovakian arrived from Sampadoria last summer for 23 million euros and his performances have seen him earn a fixed place in Luciano Spalletti's team, playing 40 games and scoring 4 goals in league and cup.

Inter want 70 million euros for him and have already rejected 55m from Manchester City. He is a right-footer, 1.87m tall, and a battler as is to be expected in a league as tactical and competitive as Serie A.

Atletico were interested in Skriniar in 2016-17, when he was at Sampadoria, but Inter got ahead and sealed the deal.

Madrid think Skriniar would mix well with Raphael Varane and be an option for the future to replace Sergio Ramos on a long-term basis. At Barca he could fulfil the same function for Gerard Pique, though the Catalans are negotiating for Clement Lenglet too.
