Rafinha: Immense joy to score against Atletico at the Calderon

The midfielder also explained why he decided to ditch the mask in the Spanish capital

Rafinha's goal, Barcelona's first at the Vicente Calderon, opened the way to a vital win. The midfielder spoke to beIN Sports after the game and said that "scoring at this ground is an immense joy."

"We knew the difficulties of the game at a really complicated stadium. We came out with a lot of effort and we got the three points, which is what we wanted," the Hispanic-Brazilian said.

Asked if Barça had lacked fludity in their play, Rafinha said no and praised Atletico: "It is not fluidity, it's that Atletico pressed up high. We planned to use a different system and it was a good game. They're a tough team and we knew that we had to be strong."

NO MASK

Rafinha Alcantara played without a mask at the Calderon, which he'd been wearing during recent matches after he broke his nose.

He explained: "I still had one week left of wearing it, but the nose was OK to be able to play today and I decided not to use the mask."

It's a decision which served him well as he scored his sixth goal of the season -- and a vital goal at that.
