RAC1: Valencia want to swap Neto for Barça goalkeeper Cillessen
Los Che are also interested in Barça duo Denis Suarez and Rafinha
Valencia have proposed a swap deal with Barcelona which would see goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen move to Mestalla and Brazilian stopped Neto come to Camp Nou, according to RAC1.
Representatives from the two clubs met on Monday and another Barça player, midfielder Rafinha, was also discussed. The Brazil international has just recovered from a serious injury and is not in Ernesto Valverde's plans for next season. In contrast, Valencia coach Marcelino would be delighted to have Rafinha in his squad.
Valencia are also keen on another Barça player, Denis Suarez, who last week spoke of his desire to be reunited with Marcelino, who he played under at Villarreal.
THE COST OF CILLESSEN
In Cillessen's case, the Dutch goalkeeper wants to play more regular football ahead of next summer's Euro 2020, where he hopes to be with the Netherlands. At Barça, he plays in the Copa del Rey and is backup to Marc Andre ter Stegen in La Liga and the Champions League,
The problem is that the offers Barça have received have been very low, such as the one from Benfica. Manchester United and Everton have also been linked.
Valencia have proposed to Barça that they swap goalkeepers, with Neto joining the Catalan in exchange. Neto has been their No.1 this past season, playing 47 games.
The Brazilian, who is about to turn 30, was the regular stopper in La Liga (fourth place), the Champions League (knocked out in the group stages) and the Europa League (semifinalists). But he was the substitute goalkeeper in the Copa del Rey as Valencia beat Barça in the final.
