The Barça star made contact after the emergence of a video on social media this week

Barcelona players Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele have been caught up in controversy following the publication of a video featuring them over the weekend.

In the video, Dembele appears to make fun of some Japanese workers while on tour with Barça in 2019, with Griezmann laighing.

After the video emerged, both players apologised for their actions but said there were no racist undertones to what they had said.

However, Hiroshi Mikitani, the CEO of Rakuten, Barça's main sponsor, complained about the video on Tuesday and demanded a response from the Catalan club.

According to RAC1, both Griezmann and Dembele have contacted Barça to take responsibility for their errors and express their regret about what can be heard in the video.

In addition, according to the same report, Griezmann has also personally contacted Mikitani to apologise for the video. Dembele plans to do the same.
