Aneekee Molenaar and her mother, Christiane Zillikens, made the trip over to Paris as the Dutch defender appears likely to sign for PSG

Matthijs de Ligt is one step away from joining Paris Saint Germain. According to Dutch newspaper 'De Telegraaf' the Dutch centre back's girlfriend and mother-in-law, Aneekee Molenaar and Christiane Zillikens respectively, have recently made the trip over to Paris whilst de Ligt was in action during the Nations League 'Final Four' tournament.

Representatives of the club made sure the pair were in a car with tinted windows.

PSG are expected to confirm the signing of de Ligt very soon. The club is working hard to seal the deal and not repeat the mistakes which were made during the negotiations for Frenkie de Jong. FC Barcelona swooped at the last minute and agreed personal terms with the midfielder.

The French giants are confident they've won the race for de Ligt but the player has yet to officially confirm his intentions. His agent, Mino Raiola, was in Paris on Thursday and met with Antero Henrique and Maxwell, the outgoing director of football and sporting coordinator at PSG, as the finer details of the contract were ironed out.

Everything suggests the Ajax captain will continue his career with PSG rather than Barça.
