Porro's Tottenham move on ice as Barça's Bellerin waits on Sporting

If Porro moves to England, the Portuguese side will swoop for Hector Bellerin

There are less than 48 hours left in the January transfer window and at Barcelona it is still not considered closed. The operation that has the most chance of being closed is the departure of Héctor Bellerín to Sporting Club.

However, for that to happen, the transfer of Pedro Porro to Tottenham must first be made official for a figure close to €45 million.

Despite Tottenham having a verbal agreement with the player since Saturday, the operation has gone cold in the last few hours and could end up not being closed. At the moment, the agreement between the clubs is stuck, but all parties are hopeful that they can unblock it.

Tottenham had planned to carry out a medical with Porro on Monday, but Sporting have modified some of the details to leave uncertainty surrounding the deal. And until Sporting receive the agreed amount for the transfer of Porro, the Lisbon team will not activate the domino effect.

Bellerín has shown himself to be open to joining them and has even explained why to Barça coach Xavi Hernandez.

Bellerín's role at Barça has been limited, falling behind Jules Kounde and Sergi Roberto and even Ronald Araujo and Alejandro Balde at right-back.

Barça hope to close a small transfer fee for the defender, just as they did with Memphis Depay, who joined Atlético Madrid. His contract ends on June 30 and they will try to make something from a transfer, before leaves for free in the summer.
