Pique hits back at Solari's schedule complaint with salient point

'The last time Madrid had an extra day to rest they lost 5-1'

Gerard Pique was satisifed with Barcelona's 4-2 win over Sevilla on Saturday as they twice came from behind with Lionel Messi scoring a hat-trick.

"We are really happy with the victory because it's a difficult place to come," the defender said. "The first half was tough, but they tired in the second a little and we had more chances to win the game, which was our objective."

For Pique, the win sets Barça up nicely for the double header against Real Madrid, whose coach Santiago Solari's complained that the Catalans will have one day extra to rest -- Los Blancos travel to Levante on Sunday.

"The last time they had one day more rest than us we won 5-1," Pique pointed out. "I know they're looking forward to facing us. They will be really up for it but we will do everything possible to reach the cup final. Then, winning the league game wouldn't decide the title, but it would make a huge statement if we won."

Barça travel to Madrid twice in a week. They play the second leg of their Copa del Rey semifinal on Wednesday (the first leg ended 1-1) and then meet again in the league on Saturday.
