The Barça star was the match winner at Sevilla with three goals and an assist

Lionel Messi was happy with Barcleona's 4-2 win over Sevilla after scoring three goals in the win on Saturday.

"No, We can't say that's half the league won, there is still a long way to go," Messi said after Barça moved 10 points clear of Atletico. "But it was an important win because of what it means to win here and to maintain our lead over our rivals. Now we ahve some tough games coming up, although they all are in reality."

Barça, as they often do, had to suffer before winning at the Sancehz Pizjuan. They twice trailed before coming back to win.

Messi added: "It's always tough to win here, we know this ground and the players they have. They always make it difficult and it was the same today. The good thing is we were able to overcome what they threw at us, which is never easy."

It was important for Barça to get back to scoring ways after failing to score in two of their last five games and scoring just once in their previous two outings.

"You go through different spells in a season," Messi said. "You can't always play at a great level. We are on a run, if we're being honest, in which we are not playing our best football and that makes it difficult to score. When the play flows better, things work out for themselves. Today we were ourselves again and we played a great game."

Motivated against Real Madrid

Barça are still alive in all three competitions and now face Madrid twice in a week at the Bernabeu -- first in the cup and then in the league.

"All competitions are important for us," Messi said. "We don't throw any competition. We are one step from a final in the cup. It is going to nee a really tough game because it's against Real Madrid and it's at their ground (...) but we're going there to win and we're confident we can do it. After that, we will think about La Liga game there, but we want to win everything."
