Coutinho joins the Brazilian national team and hopes Barcelona will sign him during the break

He travelled to Brazil with his two brothers who have supported him in this time

Philippe Coutinho left Liverpol on Sunday with his desire to play for Barcelona intact. His intention is to seal his move to the Catalan giants by the end of the week so he does not have to return to the north of England after playing for Brazil against Ecuador and Colombia in World Cup qualifiers.

The midfielder, with Roberto Firmino, had a flight booked to Porto Alegre with a stop in Sao Paulo, where it is not clear if they will participate in the first training session under Tite.

Coutinho's ambition, and that of his family and agents, was to have joined the Selecao as a Barcelona player. It was not possible. However, he left England knowing that his club are willing to sell him, as Sport reported at the weekend. The cost of the deal is what remains to be determined.

Although Liverpool have not told Barcelona their demands, the deal including fixed and variable costs, will end up around 160 million euros.
